What we collect when you contact us, why, and how we look after it. In plain English.
Last updated: 22 October 2026
Who we are
This website is run by ALB Technology for Business, which also trades as ALB Tax & Bookkeeping. We are a small business based in Walsall, West Midlands. For this policy, we are the “data controller”, which means we decide how your information is used and we are responsible for looking after it.
We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), registration number ZC278357.
- Owner: Antonio Beneton Junior (sole trader)
- Based in: Walsall, West Midlands
- Phone and WhatsApp: 07480436049
- Email: hello@albtechnology.co.uk
- Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) registration number: ZC278357
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us through the forms on this website:
- Contact form: your name, your phone number, what you need help with and any message you add.
- Waiting list (Tax & Bookkeeping): your name, your phone number and whether you drive for Uber, private hire or something else.
- Tax calculator enquiry: your name, phone number, optional email, your Yes, Maybe or No answer, and the estimate figures. You send these through WhatsApp. Nothing is stored on the website.
We never ask for your Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR), National Insurance number, bank details, Government Gateway login or any documents through this website. If someone asks you for these through a form claiming to be us, please don’t send them and let us know.
How your message reaches us
When you press send, the form opens WhatsApp on your phone or computer with your answers already filled in. Nothing is sent until you press send in WhatsApp yourself. Your message then reaches us through WhatsApp, which is run by WhatsApp Ireland Limited (part of Meta). WhatsApp messages are end-to-end encrypted. You can read WhatsApp’s privacy policy.
You can also phone or email us instead if you prefer not to use WhatsApp.
Why we use your details
- To reply to your enquiry and give you the information or quote you asked for.
- To contact you about the Tax & Bookkeeping service when places open, if you joined the waiting list.
Our legal reason for this is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form, and our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us. We will not send you marketing you didn’t ask for, and we will never sell or share your details with anyone for their own marketing.
How long we keep them
- If you don’t become a client, we delete your enquiry or waiting-list details within 12 months of your last contact with us, or sooner if you ask.
- If you become a client, we’ll give you a separate client agreement that explains how we handle your financial records. The law requires accountants and bookkeepers to keep some records for longer, for example for anti-money laundering checks.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Our fonts are stored on our own site, so loading a page doesn’t send your details to a font service. If we add analytics in future, we’ll update this policy and ask for your consent first where the law requires it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that’s wrong;
- ask us to delete your information;
- withdraw your consent at any time;
- object to how we use your information.
To do any of these, just phone, WhatsApp or email us. We’ll reply within one month. It’s free.
Keeping your details safe
We keep the details you send us on password-protected devices and accounts that only we can access, and we only use them for the reasons above.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
